Wilma Westhoff

February 27, 1930 — July 1, 2005

Wilma "Neta" Waunetta Westhoff, age 75, of Perham, MN, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2005, 11:00 am, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rush Lake, rural Perham, MN. Interment to be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 4, 2005 from 4-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, MN, and also one hour prior at the church.



Neta was born February 27, 1930, to William and Alta (Collinson) Reese. She attended Wyndmere High School in Wyndmere, ND. She was united in marriage to Leon "Bud" Westhoff, Sr., on May 26, 1951 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wyndmere, ND. They lived in Wyndmere where 3 of the 4 children were born. They then moved to Montana and lived for five years until 1961 when they moved to the Perham area where they had a dairy farm for many years. In 1974 the fourth child was born. Neta enjoyed flowers, hummingbirds, crossword puzzles, and embroidering dish towels for church. She was very active in the church and served on the church council. Neta was very involved with family and especially enjoyed her brand new grandson, Jeremiah. Neta and Bud spent a lot of time with Card Club and church members. She also spent a lot of time with her best friend, Bud, going out to eat, going for rides, watching TV and just being with each other.



Neta is survived by her husband, Bud, of 55 years; her children, Leon Jr. (Judy), Perham, MN; Jill Westhoff, Detroit Lakes, MN; John (Becky), Perham, MN; Nancy (Jeff) Doll, Fergus Falls, MN; seven grandchildren, Mark, Keri, Lisa, Tina, Dustin, Derek, Jeremiah; and three great grandchildren, Erin, Andy, Kiata; and one brother, William Reese, Wydmere, ND.



Neta is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one half brother.
