William Walker

William “Bill” Walker, age 74, of Perham, MN, formerly of Wahpeton, ND died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 1, 2019.  Bill was born on January 14, 1945 in California, the son of Porter and Evilene Walker.   The family traveled the country until Porter’s death.  Bill then went to live in Breckenridge, MN with family and friends.

Bill married Jean Stromme on June 3, 1966.  They made their home in Wahpeton until 1994 when they moved to Perham and the lake.  Bill operated Bill Walker Excavating which later became Walker and Son until 2015.

Bill is survived by his children; Tim (Sarah) Walker, Phoenix, AZ, Rochelle (Barry) Boesen, Fargo, ND, Janelle Walker, Elgin, IL, and Ben (Michelle) Walker of Perham; grandsons Zachary Nordick, Austin Boesen, Elliott Walker, Elias Walker; granddaughter Eliana Walker; step-grandsons Jarrod Boesen and Travis Boesen; siblings Mae Gebro, Diane Odegard, Tom Walker, Jerry Walker and Johnny Walker; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean and a stillborn son.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Northwoods Life Church in Perham, MN at 6:30 p.m.   Preceding the service will be a Visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
