Waldemar E. "Buster" Rosen, age 93, of Perham, MN, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at his home under the care of Hospice. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 12, 2007, at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham, with Reverend Del Stohs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 11, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday, March 12.
Buster was born August 28, 1913, in Fairmont, MN, the son of Herman and Clara (Steuber) Rosen. He grew up in Corliss Township and was married to Marie Lucile Martin on November 4, 1937. He and Lucile farmed in Pine Lake Township for many years. Upon retiring in 1996, they moved from the farm to their home on Big Pine Lake. Buster was a great example of love and caring to all of his family throughout his life. As an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, he served on numerous boards and committees. Family and friends appreciated his sense of humor, creative talents, and musical abilities.
Buster is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lucile, Perham, MN; three daughters, Sharon (Leonard) Mueller, Pensacola, FL; Connie (John) Gahl, Cascade, ID; and Lynn (Larry) Wilson, Perham, MN; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Art Rosen, Perham, MN.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Selda "Sally" Olson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Lutheran Hour, St. Paul's Lutheran School, or Lakeland Hospice.
