Vicki L. Schwanke, age 66 of Perham, MN died unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, April 20, 2020 near Bemidji, MN. A funeral service will be held at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Andrew Ratcliffe and Pastor Del Stohs officiating. Burial will be in Spruce Grove Union Cemetery near Butler, MN. Due to the Coronavirus, all of Vicki’s services are private.

Vicki was born February 11, 1954 in Perham to Walter and Helen (Schmidt) Roberts. She graduated in 1972 from Grand Rapids High School in Grand Rapids, MN. Vicki was united in marriage to Ronald Schwanke on August 15, 1981 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Perham. To this union two children were born: Jonathan and Kelley. Vicki worked the East Otter Tail County Extension Office for 38 years.

Vicki adored her two grandsons and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed fishing, reading, canning, and gardening. She was a long-time member of the East Otter Tail County Master Gardeners. She was well known in the community and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Kaye Sellers; her brothers Lawrence, Rodney, and Ronny Roberts; and her brother-in-law Robert Johnson.

Vicki is survived by her children Jonathan (Lynn) Schwanke of New York Mills, MN and Kelley Schwanke of Perham; her grandsons Jadon and Noah; her sisters Sharon (Randy) Dalluge, Judy Johnson, and Connie (Steven) McComb; her brothers Gerald (Peg) Roberts, Dean (Lynn) Roberts, and Arlin (Grace) Roberts; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Terry Wenninger.
