Theresa McLaughlin

Theresa Hattie McLaughlin, age 97, Perham, MN, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, beginning at 11:00 am at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.



Theresa was born June 7, 1910, in Dora Township, Vergas, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Genevieve (Hegerle) Scheidecker. She was united in marriage to Aloysius William "AW" McLaughlin on February 18, 1930. They were married for 51 years before AW died. Theresa enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, and being with her family. She will be missed as the heart of her family.



Theresa is survived by three daughters, Marie (Jim) Delaney, White Bear Lake, MN; Jeanette Rosenow, Perham, MN; and Dorothy Kieselbach, Park Rapids, MN; eight grandchildren, Mike (Elaine) Delaney, Mark (Kay) Delaney, Jean (David) Delaney Nelson, Gary (Kim) Delaney, Jim (Mary) Rosenow, Lynn (Joe) Johnson, Mike (Lisa) Kieselbach, and Matt (Suzanna) Kieselbach; fourteen great grandchildren, Laura and Sarah Nelson; Patrick, Will, Garrick, Daniel, Thomas, and Michael Delaney; Kristina and Olivia Rosenow; Patrick and Kaitlin Johnson; and Chase and McKenzie Kieselbach; two sisters, Margaret Bressler and Agnes Weis; a brother, Raymond Scheidecker; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.



Preceding Theresa in death are her parents; husband, Aloysius; son, George McLaughlin; infant great grandson, Robert Delaney; four brothers, Ervin, George, Ed, and Jerry; two sisters, Eleanor Balluch and Florence Scheidecker; sons-in-law, Ben Kieselbach and Norman Rosenow.
