Terrie May Menze, age 60 of Ottertail, MN went home to be with our heavenly father Sunday, February 23, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatitis.
She was born on May 26, 1964 to Richard and Gloria Dorow in Wadena, MN. She grew up in Ottertail, MN where she attended St. John's Parochial and Henning High School. Attending church at St. John's Lutheran is where she met the love of her life, Bob. The two were married on July 1, 1988. In their 37 years of marriage, they were blessed with three children, Brandon Menze, his wife Nicci, Brittnie Hildr, her wife Jill, and Breanna Siedschlaw, and her husband Christian. Terrie's favorite title was grandma to Amelia Michelle and Evelyn Niccole who she was immensely proud of.
Terrie and Bob built their dream home together on the Menze farm where they owned and operated Rush Lake Dairy until 1998. She worked on her parents' mink ranch for many years, as an egg picker for New Life Farms, and at United Community Bank for 21 years where she met many great life-long friends. Some of her greatest moments were never missing her kids' sporting events, volunteering for countless school or band trips, and the summer vacations up at Washington Island with her family and parents. Her selfless nature and community involvement are an inspiration to many who knew her. Terrie suffered a stroke in February 2020 and fought tirelessly to get back to her family. She spent the last five years enjoying time at the lake with family, tending her garden and going for walks, working with the Rod and Gun Club and Ducks Unlimited, and playing with her granddaughter, Amelia.
Terrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Selma Dorow and William and Caroline Brekke; her parents-in-law, Dean and Betty Menze, and two precious grandbabies in heaven.
She leaves behind her loving husband; her three dedicated children; her precious granddaughters; along with her mother and father, Richard and Gloria Dorow; brother, Randy (Karen) Dorow; sister, Gina (Bob) Cavanagh; Bob's loving family; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
