Ruby Elsie Hanebuth Albrecht, age 94, of Perham, MN, died at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home on December 21, 2003. Ruby was born the daughter of Melvin and Bertha (Voss) Hein on May 8, 1909 in Paynesville, MN. With her family she moved near Bellingham, MN, where she was raised and attended school. This was followed by a move to Evergreen Township, near Frazee, MN and then near Ottertail, MN. At the age of 16, Ruby moved to North Dakota
and worked as a housekeeper. She then moved back near Ottertail and was united in marriage to Leo Hanebuth on November 16, 1929. He died on July 28, 1957. Ruby then worked for St. James Hospital as a nurse?s aid. On February 22, 1967, Ruby married Edward Albrecht at his home on Toad Lake, near Frazee. The couple resided there until Ed?s death on January 25, 1988. Ruby then moved to Perham in 1989 and entered the Perham Memorial Nursing Home. Surviving Ruby is her son, Duane Hanebuth, of Excelsior Springs City, MO; her daughter, Deloris Lachowitzer, of Ottertail MN; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Ruby in death are her husbands, Leo and Edward; two brothers, Donald and Lauren Hein and one sister, Virginia Busch.
