Rose Weickert

Rose Marie Weickert, age 78, of Perham, MN, died at MeritCare Health System, Fargo, ND, Thursday, January 20, 2005. Funeral services will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Perham, Monday, January 24, 2005, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend David Rieder officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is Sunday, January 23, 2005, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.



Rose was born September 8, 1926, in Perham, the daughter of John and Martha (Sczygiel) Belka. She attended and graduated from Perham High School in 1945. Rose married Laurel Weickert on March 4, 1946, in Perham. She worked for several years in the Perham community before staying home to care for their children.



Rose is survived and deeply missed by her husband, Laurel, of Perham, MN; two sons, Don (Esther), of Shakopee, MN and Larry (Janice), of Perham, MN; two daughters, Diane Weickert, of Brooklyn Park MN, and Shari (Derek)Erickson, of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Steven, Craig (Wendy), Chris, Morgan, and Mira; great-grandson, Evan and one sister, Amelia Woessner, of Perham, MN.



Preceding Rose in death were her parents; brother, Leonard and sister, Theresa.
