Rose Riewer

Rose I. Riewer, 88, of Perham, MN, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Perham Memorial Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Henry's Catholic Church with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Rose was born January 27, 1917 the daughter of Charles and Edna (McCulley) Phillips in Ulen, MN. On June 11, 1935 she married George L Riewer in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together, George and Rose farmed near Perham for many years. Rose also worked at Ebelings CafAsh as a cook. George died on March 6, 1994. Rose enjoyed gardening and growing flowers up until the time of her death. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to Lakes CafAsh for coffee with friends.
Rose is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Jim) Clark, Knife River, MN; Mary (Cory) Orvik, Perham, MN; and Debra Riewer, Perham, MN; four sons, William (Verna Lee) Riewer, Dent, MN; Paul Riewer, Perham, MN; Thomas (Cindy) Riewer, Perham, MN; and Michael (Sharon) Riewer, Park Rapids, MN; one sister, Bertha Phillips, Perham, MN; fifteen grandchildren; six step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sister, Stella Potter; three infant sons; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Riewer.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
