Roger Hegle

Roger Hegle, age 87 of Perham, MN died Friday, February 19, 2021 in his home.

Roger Wayne Hegle was born September 30, 1933 to Hjalmer and Josephine (LaBounty) Hegle in Gwinner, ND. Roger married Kay Dick on September 4, 1960 in Lisbon, ND. Roger served six years in the ND ARNG with six months being active duty.

Rog and Kay lived in Gwinner for 33 years, spending weekends at West McDonald Lake for 15 before purchasing Wildwood Beach Store on the lake, which they owned for 13 years, then purchased a year-round home and remained on West McDonald another 14 years before moving to Perham. Rog worked at Melroe (Bobcat) for 33 years, retiring in 1991.

Surviving Roger is his wife Kay; son Doug (Dawn) Hegle; daughter Penny (Larry) Meyers; four grandkids; six great-grandkids; and brother Ronnie Hegle.

Preceding Roger in death were his parents; brother Gerald Hegle; and sisters Betty Osier and Laurel Lemieux.

No service is planned for Roger.
