Robert Hofmann

Robert John Hofmann, age 88 of Perham, MN, died Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Hadley House Assisted Living. He was born in Perham on December 28, 1936 to John and Mary (Lachowtizer) Hofmann, and attended school in Perham.

He was united in marriage to Mary Emily Holzer on September 18, 1965 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. The couple was blessed with six sons.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors and could be found doing yardwork, trapping gophers, and activities such as fishing, and deer hunting. He was a man of great faith and will be missed by his friends, family, and all those who loved him.

Surviving Robert are his sons, James (Regina), John (Janine), Jerome (Mona Flatau), Joseph (Leah Krile), Jason (Rachel), and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Joshua (Linnea Chruscielski), Rachel (Pete) Fritz, Rebecca (Asher Dupree-Butler), Justyn (Angie), Brianna, Brittany, and Beau; one great grandson, Joseph Hofmann; siblings, Mary Becker, Agnes Solarz, and Netty Zahler.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary Hofmann; his parents, John and Mary; sister, Bernice Ruther; and brother, James Hofmann.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:15 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 6:30 on Thursday, February 6, at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 on Friday, February 7 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Interment with military honors will be at St. Henry’s Cemetery in Perham.
