Richard (Dick) Williams, 78, passed away on April 26, 2023 at his home in Perham, MN.

He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dick was born on June 14, 1944 in Plymouth, Indiana, the son of Everett and Carol Williams. The family moved to a farm on the Hubbard prairie near Park Rapids when he was a boy. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1962. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea for three years.

He worked at a SuperValu warehouse in Hopkins for many years before retiring to the lake near Perham.

Dick was a devoted father who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always there to offer guidance, support and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In his free time, Dick enjoyed fishing and bowling, and was an excellent craftsman. He was always eager to share his knowledge and expertise with others.

Dick is survived by his mother, Carol; sister, Jean O’Malley; brother, Harold (Kay) Williams; daughter, Susan (Tim) Bloomquist; son, Bryan (Heather) Williams; and grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Andrea Williams, Mckenzie Harris, Benjamin Bloomquist, Connor Williams and Aiden Williams. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held for family and close friends at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery – Camp Ripley in Little Falls at a later date.
