Regina Olson

Regina Philamena (Doll) Olson age 98 of Perham, MN died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Perham Living.

Regina was born in Perham on December 4, 1915 to Anton and Emma (Morganroth) Doll. She was a twin sister to Alvina (Doll) Belka. Mom said they were the first set of twins born at the old St. James Hospital. She attended grade school at the country school Dist 128 on highway 78 near Rush Lake. Her mother died when she was sixteen so she had to take care of her younger brothers and sisters. She also worked in the cities until she returned home and married Charles C. Olson on September 18, 1944.

She enjoyed quilting and going to Rollag for the Steam Thresher Reunion with her family. She also was involved with the Pioneer Village. Regina was a member of the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters.

Regina is survived by four children, Marilyn (Frank) Dolezal, Ronald Olson, Darlene (Roger) Flint and Thomas (Gerrie) Olson; also one sister, Lois Rocconi of Lompoc, CA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with many nieces and nephews.

Regina is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Charles; her sister, Alvina; and her brothers, Bernard, Albert and Eldred Doll.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM and parish prayers at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 4 at St. Henry's Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
