Penelope "Penny" Lehman

Penelope “Penny” Lehman, 49, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on August 15, 2019.

Penelope was born November 20, 1969 in Wadena, MN to Marlowe and Carol (Ball) Hahn. Penny graduated from Perham High School in 1988. She married the love of her life, Ricky Lehman on May 27, 1989. Their marriage was blessed with four daughters and a son. Penny’s girls April, Ashley, Amy and Amber were her pride and joy. Penny loved watching them grow over the years.

Penny enjoyed yearly family camping trips, doing crafts at home, gardening, quilting and spending time at home with Rick and the girls. She would do anything for anyone else without thinking twice. You could always count on her to lend a helping hand. Penny loved being a grandma and could not wait to become a grandma again. Penny spent the last 20 years employed at Tuffy’s in Perham.

Penny is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ricky; daughters April (Tor) Nhial, Ashley (Taylor) Altstadt, Amy (Fiance’ Lucas Petersen), and Amber Lehman; grandchildren Elizabeth Lehman, Awel Nhial and Tor Nhial; her father Marlowe Hahn of Perham; brothers Danny (Jill) Hahn of Wadena and Conrad (Pat) Hahn of Vergas; her sister Percy (Kevin) Keil of Perham; along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Preceding Penny in death were her mother Carol Hahn and her son Brandon Lehman.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:00 on Friday, August 23 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 on Saturday, August 24 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
