Pauline Mary Krekelberg, age 91, of Perham, MN, formerly of Dent, MN, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Perham Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dent at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2005 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Pauline was born to John and Mary (Henn) Frank on March 2, 1914 in Blanchard, ND. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1932 and moved with her parents and siblings to the rural Dent area to establish Frank?s Lodge on Star Lake. Pauline married Lawrence A. Krekelberg of Dent on October 17, 1939. They bought the Joe Jaroszewski farm in 1939 and lived there until Lawrence?s death in 1997. As an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pauline was a founding member of the Christian Mothers Organization. In 1998, she moved into the new Briarwood residence in Perham. She made many new friends there and loved her new home away from home.
Pauline is survived by one daughter, Judy (David) Butler, Birmingham, AL; one sister, Frances Masterson, Port Huenme, CA; one brother, Leroy Frank, Granada Hills, CA; and cousin, Jack Vasconcellos, Dent, MN. Pauline was also blessed with a large number of loving nieces, nephews and family friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lawrence, Pauline is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Karl Frank.
Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
