Norbert Lachowitzer

Norbert August Lachowitzer, age 77, of Perham, MN, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2005, 11:00 am, at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, MN, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Internment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 4 - 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.



Norbert was born January 10, 1928 in Perham, MN, the son of John and Clara (Schuessler) Lachowitzer. He attended country school, Rose Hill #132. Norbert farmed on the family farm after serving with the Marines in Japan and retired from farming in 1988. He collected miniature tractors and machinery. Norbert was a member of the VFW, Perham, and the American Legion in Dent, MN.



He is survived by one brother, Albert (Catherine) Lachowitzer, Perham, MN; one sister, Mary Dulski, Perham, MN; and many nieces and nephews.



He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Chester Dulski.
