Nina Lillis, age 96, of Perham, MN, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, in her home under the care of hospice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, at 11:00 am in Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, MN, with Pastor Fair Caldwell-Meeks officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dent, MN.
Nina May Beckett was born on June 4, 1911, to Warren and Annie (Millet) Beckett in Amor Township, MN. She grew up in the Richville and Dead Lake area. On July 16, 1928, she married William Lillis and remained in the Dead Lake area. Nina enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and crocheting. She will be remembered by her faithful dog, Muffy.
Nina is survived by her daughters, Louise (Don) Bruns, Richville, MN; and Dorothy Sperry, Olympia, WA; son, William Lillis, Lebanon, OR; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Nina is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; two sisters; and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Lakeland Hospice.
