Mona Beth (Comstock) Denker, age 79, of Ottertail, MN, died May 2, 2011 at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN, after a very short battle with lung cancer.
Mona was born Sept. 9, 1931. She was raised and graduated from high school in Roseau, MN. She was employed by Honeywell Inc. where she met her husband and they were married in Oct. 1958. Mona & Dale retired to their lake home in Ottertail in 1989. She was a homemaker and active in many church and community activities. Mona enjoyed sewing, gardening, birds, cooking, square dancing and was an avid reader.
Preceding Mona in death are her parents, Dennis & Thelma Comstock; sister, Anita Mekash and niece, NaDean McInnis. Mona is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale; son, Mark; daughters, Kris (John) Pope and Jodi Denker; granddaughter, Caillie Pope; grand-dogs, Gringo, Gus and Duke; brother-in-law, Emil Mekash; nephew, Tim (Muriel) Fevold; great-nephews, Ryan (Jamie) Fevold, Matt McInnis; great-nieces, Emily Fevold, Megan (Thad) Jackson and Anna (Tony) Monsour and 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
