Marvin Johnson, age 77, of Perham, MN, died Friday, October 15, 2010, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Marvin was born March 13, 1933, in Evansville, MN, the son of Adolph and Alice (Anderson) Johnson. He attended the Evansville Country School and after graduation served in the US Army at Fort Hood, Alaska and Greenland.
On October 25, 1957, Marvin was united in marriage to Mabel "Clem" Clemens in Hibbing, MN. He was employed with Sanders Chevrolet in Hoffman, MN, until he and Clem moved to Perham in 1973. Marvin then worked for Starline Farm Machinery and later for Russell Construction for twenty years; taking him across the country.
Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, football and most of all baseball. Marvin was a member of the Dent American Legion, the Perham VFW and he played the accordion in a Polka Band for many years. He also loved to BS!
Marvin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mabel "Clem"; four children, Mark, Chuck, Robin (Robert) Lee and Kelly (Scott) Schmidt; two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew; three sisters, Violet, Adeline and Annie, all of Alexandria, MN; and one brother, David, Glenwood, MN.
Preceding Marvin in death are his parents, Adolph and Alice.
