Marie E. Vorgert, age 88, of Perham, MN, died at Perham Living, Monday, March 26, 2012.
Marie Elizabeth Vorgert was born August 15, 1923, in Freeport, MN, to Nicholas and Lucy (Linn) Fabeck. She was united in marriage to Ervin A. Vorgert, on October 14, 1941, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Freeport. Over their 67 years of marriage, they lived in Moorhead, Lake Park, Sebeka and Perham, MN. Erv and Marie enjoyed wintering in Texas for 24 years.
Marie raised 5 children. After they were all in school, she worked at various jobs including Homecrest, in Wadena, MN; the Perham School kitchen; St. James Home and the Perham Hospital. Marie enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, playing cards and bingo and traveling on her scooter visiting other residents.
Surviving Marie are her children, Gerard (Sharon) Vorgert, Perham, MN, Ivy "Irene" Juve, of Austin, TX, Ken (Colette) Vorgert, of Winfield, IL, Tom (Chris) Vorgert, of Chamberlain, SD, and Maryln (Dan) Lehmkuhl, of Carlos, MN; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one sister, LouAnn Dickhaus, of Melrose, MN.
Preceding Marie in death is her husband, Ervin, in 2008; her parents; two sisters, Lillian Beuning and Dorothy Kolb and one brother, Nicholas Fabeck, Jr.
