Marie Moenkedick

Marie Moenkedick Manthe, age 90 of Perham, MN passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Perham Living with her family by her side. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Marie Gertrude Perszyk was born on January 19, 1928 to John and Gertrude Perszyk. She grew up on Paul Lake. Marie was united in marriage to Ray Moenkedick on June 5, 1946. They made their home in rural Perham where they welcomed two daughters, Janice Marie and Connie Rae.

Marie in her younger years catered many of the local weddings and social events. Ray and Marie were married for 40 years when Ray passed away May 4, 1987.

Marie later married James Manthe on July 20, 1991. James passed away on July 19, 2013 and Marie has resided in Prairie Knoll since.

Marie is survived by her son-in-law David Doll of Perham; grandson & family Steve and Sheila, Joseph and Shelby Moenkedick of Spicer, MN; granddaughters and families: Jen and Mike, William, James, Grace Marie, Benjamin, Macey and Lucey Minten of Butler, MN; and Mandy and Greg, Ambrea and Alisma Meyer of Grand Forks, ND; and many other friends and loved ones who will never forget her sass and class.

Preceding Marie in death were her husbands Ray and Jim; and her daughters Janice and Connie.
