Mae Loerzel

Mae Ione Loerzel, age 76, of Richville, MN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 2, 2010, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.


Mae was born May 30, 1933 , in Crestol , IA , the daughter of Milton and Helen (Ohman) Brink. She was married to Thomas Loerzel on October 22, 1966 and they resided in the Richville area. Mae was an active dairy farm wife until she retired in 1995.



Mae was very involved in 4-H during most of her son, Richard’s teen years. She loved sharing her talents of crocheting, macramé, cake baking/decorating and cooking. Mae was an avid bird watcher and loved animals. She was a member of St. Lawrence parish for 49 years and served on the St. Lawrence Parish Church Counsel and taught Sunday school for a brief period.



Mae is survived by her sons, Richard, Richville, MN; and John, Minneapolis, MN; daughters, Kathy, Pittsburg, PA; Letty, Los Angeles, CA; Sam, of Atlanta, GA; and Janet, Hewitt, MN; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; six sisters, Doris Charalton, Minneapolis, MN; Ardis Detzen, Mankato, MN; Betty Iscacson, McGregor, MN; Donna Bates, Wadena, MN; Linda Rust, Bluffton, MN; and Carol McGowan, Ottertail, MN.



Preceding Mae in death are her parents, Milton and Helen Brink; and one sister, Edna, Coon Rapids , MN .
