Lucille Mary Welter, age 100, of Perham, MN, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Autumn Manor in Perham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, at 11:00 am at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Lucille was born July 13, 1906, in Gorman Township near Perham, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Dulski) Schedoski. She attended country school in Gorman Township through the eighth grade. Later she moved to Chicago where she was employed as a telephone operator. Lucille moved back to the Perham area where she met William Welter and in May of 1930 they were married in St. Cloud, MN. William died October 23, 1970. Lucille loved to travel the countryside and spend time with her grandchildren.
Lucille is survived by her son, David Welter, Apple Valley, MN; a daughter, Cheryl Deneen, Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Laverne Johnson; son, Roger Welter; brothers, Frank, Joe, Stanley, and Phil; and sisters, Ceil Scott, Martha Schewiski, and Lottie Olerud.
