Funeral services for Lois Marquette, age 72, of Dent, MN, will be Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, with Reverend Larry Refsland officiating. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place Friday, November 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., in the Greenwood Cemetery, New York Mills, MN. Lois died at the Perham Memorial Hospital, Monday, November 22, 2004, surrounded by her special friends.
Lois was born the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Bernsdorf) Marquette, March 22, 1932, in Fargo, ND. She was one of five children. From Feb. 3, 1981 to May 2004, Lois resided at the Peleske Group Home in Dent, MN. She worked at Productive Alternatives in Perham during those same years. Lois will be remembered for her very loving way of being a friend. She liked to take your hand and tell you that she liked you. She expressed herself very well, and was always polite and very giving to those around her. Lois enjoyed attending church, listening to music, playing games and putting puzzles together. She loved bright colors and "looking nice." Her stuffed animals and dollies were with her whenever she traveled. She will especially remembered by her friends and caregivers, including Marie Slechta, of Dent, MN and Kay Albin, of New York Mills, MN.
