Lenora Hauer

Lenora "Lee" Evelyn Hauer, age 77, died January 16, 2007 in Riverview, Florida, surrounded by her loving husband, Larry, and six children. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm in Calvary Lutheran Church, Perham, MN, with Pastor Art Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Calvary and also one hour prior to services. Burial will take place later this summer in Valley Grove Cemetery, Nerstrand, MN.
Lenora was born June 7, 1929 in Stanton, Minnesota, to Norwegian parents, Clarence and Emma (Berg) Christie. That made her 100% Norwegian and very proud of her heritage. She enjoyed Sons of Norway trips and handing out "Norwegian by Proxy" buttons.
She graduated from Northfield High School, and worked as a secretary in the Hormel corporate office, where she met her future husband, Larry. They married on February 18, 1950 and begat 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Lee had a zest for life and loved having fun and making memories. She beamed at her husband's wit, liked Ole and Lena jokes, and could brighten any room with her infectious laughing! She enjoyed playing bridge, the accordion, listening to music, creating crafts, sewing, rosemaling, and watching hummingbirds and moonrises at Regnbue Havn, their Big Pine Lake resort. Lee deeply loved her family and friends and her Lord.
Lee was also 100% Lutheran and a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham. As a Stephen Minister, her love of helping others found its purpose.
In Lee's own words, "I have a super family, a great "boyfriend", the best customers, neighbors and friends anyone could have".
Lee's optimism, easy smile and warm hugs will be missed by many. Our family thanks you for your love and friendship.
Lee is survived by her husband Lawrence (Larry) Hauer, Perham, MN; six children, Sherry (George) Biltz, Larry (Sally) Hauer, Craig (Cindy) Hauer, Krista (Rick) Bogart, Dan Hauer, and Mara (Robert) Priebe; grandchildren, Jason (Sara) Biltz, Kjersti (Jon) Nelson, Greg (Angie) Biltz, Brad (Jackie) Hauer, Nicholas Hauer, Andrew Hauer, Matthew (Lori) Hauer, Gabriel Hauer, Olivia Hauer, Shawn (fiancAC. Kim) Bogart, Danny Bogart, Tricia Bogart, Rachael Bultman-Matson, Leah Priebe, Aaron Priebe, and Max Priebe; great grandchildren, JT Myers, Emma Biltz, Joseph Biltz, Jimmy Biltz, Samantha Biltz, Jackson Biltz, Thomas Biltz, Tagen Nelson, Dominic Hauer, and Jacob Hauer; and sister-in-law, Ann Hauer-Sheehy.
