Lawrence "Larry" Paul Weickert, age 55, Perham, MN, died July 22, 2005 at Pelican Lake Health Care Center, Ashby, MN. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham, MN. Reverend Jerry Nordick will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2005 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham, MN, from 4-8 pm with prayer service at 7 pm.
Larry was born February 15, 1950 in Perham, MN to Laurel P. and Rose M. (Belka) Weickert. He attended school in Perham and also the Staples Area Technical School. Larry married Janice M. Carstens on July 11, 1970 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham, MN. Larry was involved in construction for telecommunications for the past 36 years and was part owner of Underground Contractors, L&J Excavation and Pro Welding & Fabricating, all of Perham.
Much of Larry?s life was spent outdoors where he shared his love for hunting and fishing with family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his passion for the outdoors.
Larry is survived by his wife, Janice, Perham, MN; three sons, Steven Weickert, Fargo, ND; Craig (Wendy) Weickert, Moorhead, MN; Christopher Weickert, Perham, MN; his father, Laurel Weickert, Perham, MN; two grandsons, Evan Weickert and Eric Amundson; a brother, Donald (Esther) Weickert, Shakopee, MN; two sisters, Diane Weickert, Brooklyn Park, MN; Shari (Derek) Erickson, Maple Grove, MN; and two nieces, Morgan and Mira Weickert, Shakopee, MN.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Rose, January 20, 2005.
