Kenneth E. Smith, age 75, a resident on Lake Marion, MN, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Sanford Health of Fargo, ND.
Ken was born the son of Samuel C. and Mary M. (Gladback) Smith, on October 20, 1935, in Minneapolis, MN. He served in the U.S. Air Force. On March 5, 1955, Ken was united in marriage to Mabel L. Fuller, in Richville, MN. They resided in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Fergus Falls and on Lake Marion by Richville. While in Fergus Falls, Ken managed the Fleet Farm Store. He was also a semi-retired insurance agent.
In his spare time, Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, gardening and training chipmunks. He also volunteered with the Richville Methodist Church, Richville Senior Center and the Lake Association for Lake Marion.
Surviving Ken is his wife, Mabel; sons, Scott and Todd (Michelle Dean); daughter, Chris (Curt) Feickert; four grandchildren, Dawn Smith, Kelsie and Taylor Feickert and Kylee Smith as well as two step-grandchildren, Tasha Dean and Tyler Dean.
Preceding Ken in death are his parents, Samuel C. and Mary M. Smith.
