Judy M. Kunza

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Judith “Judy” M. Kunza, age 78, died peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Perham Living Transitions while under the care of hospice.

Born May 18, 1944 in Duluth, MN to Walter and Mae (Smith) Jahn, Judy dedicated her life to her family, her home, her flowerbeds, and her dogs. She was always there for anyone that needed her, and her home was always open with a pot of coffee on and fresh baked cookies. She was a member of a local homemaker’s group, where she made lifelong friends, and member of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Judy was married to Jerry, her devoted husband for 57 years, and together they created five beautiful children, Michelle, Melissa (David), Michael (Marilyn), Melinda (Adam), and Matthew (Jana), and 14 wonderful grandkids, Nicholas (Hattie), Allison (Cory), Carson, Blake (Justice), Lexi, Jack, Jonathan, Lila, Zachary, Karlee, Madelyn, Ashtyn, and Reed, and one great-grandchild Abigail.

Judy cherished her family more than anything and she always made sure to get everyone together for weekly Sunday suppers. She will be missed by many, but her love will live on forever.

Preceding Judy in death were her parents, and her siblings, Claudia, Janice, Richard, and Lorraine.

Visitation will be 1:00-4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:00 on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Following the prayer service, a reception will be held beginning at 5:00 at Perham Center for the Arts.
