Joshua P. DeCock, age 34 of Ottertail, MN, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Montevideo, MN.
Joshua was born on September 8, 1980 in Marshall, MN the son of Cathy and Thomas DeCock and Duane and Jan Sanow. Joshua was a loving and devoted father; his children were his life. Joshua was a very giving and selfless man, always wanting everyone to be taken care of. Joshua, whose nickname was "wisher" was a dreamer, an artistic man, an actor, writer and filmmaker. He also had a passion for helping displaced children and teens. He spent over 10 years working as a youth counselor. His most recent dream, or wish in life was to open a group home in Duluth, MN. He was pursuing his graduate degree in social work.
Joshua was a man of strong faith in God and he shared his joy with everyone that he could.
Preceding Josh in death was his uncle, Ray Sanow.
Surviving Josh is his son, Kellen; his daughter, Mariah; his parents, Cathy and Tom DeCock and Duane and Jan Sanow; his sisters, Holly O'Leary and Amanda (Phil) Sass; his brother, Jacob Sanow; his step-sisters, Michelle Buseman and Mackenzie Snortum; his grandparents, Darlene and Jon Gunderson, Donald and Janyce Sanow and Jeanette and Lawrence DeCock; his nieces and nephews, Neveah and Zayne, Justine, Danica, QC, Reece and Syler; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
