Joseph F. Wasche Jr., age 91 of Perham, MN died July 24, 2020. Joe was born in Bluffton, MN to Joe A. and Grace (Hassler) Wasche on August 5, 1928. He lived in Bluffton until he was 13 years old where he attended St. John’s Catholic School. He then moved to Perham with his parents and brother to live on the family farm and went to Perham High School. Joe entered the Army in 1951 and served two years during the Korean war.
Joe married Delores Perszyk on November 28, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham. They were blessed with seven children: Christine, Michael, Paul, Pamela, Judith, Victoria and Joseph III.
Joe worked for the Minnesota State Highway Department for 25 years and then retired to go into the movie theater and rental business. Joe and Delores can be given credit for starting the Perham Roller Rink.
Joe was a very proud and dedicated Catholic. After his wife Delores died on July 17, 2017, he became even more dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Joe even has his own chapel in his man cave where he spent hours in prayer.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; son Paul; and his beloved wife Delores.
Joe has missed his precious Delores very much and as hard as it is for us to let him go, rest in peace Dad. We miss you and love you to the moon and back.
