John W. Rennicke, age 78, of Perham, MN, passed away December 9, 2007, at the Perham Memorial Hospital.
John William Rennicke was born August 11, 1929, in Aurora, IL, the son of William and Bernest (Spicer) Rennicke. He was united in marriage to Carla Sheldon on April 7, 1950, in Knoxville, IA, and together they had two sons. Carla died in March 2006. In 1951 John was drafted in the sixth round to play professional basketball for the Tri-City Hawks. He also played minor league baseball for the Chicago Cubs. John loved to fish and golf and was a member at Lakeside Golf Club in Perham.
John is survived by his son, John R. (Becky) Rennicke, Perham, MN; and James J. (Lydia) Rennicke, Comstock, WI; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Preceding John in death are his parents, and his loving wife, Carla.
