JoAnn L. Adamczyk, age 91 of Perham, MN entered eternal life on February 3, 2016. JoAnn was born on July 27, 1924 in Perham the daughter of Richard and Olga (Jahn) Beitz. She graduated from high school in Perham, attend college in Duluth, MN and made her home in Perham with her husband, Eugene Adamczyk whom she married on June 17, 1949. Together they owned and operated the Perham Cleaners and Gene's Sport Shop.
Along with serving the public in business, JoAnn made a career of taking care of and loving her family which included anyone who needed a fresh baked cookie or a gentle loving smile. She enjoyed cooking for the family at holiday gatherings and watching the large circles of family and friends come together during the summer months at Paul Lake. JoAnn had a true passion for nature, her favorites being birds and flowers with which she lovingly shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family cherished listening to JoAnn sing and appreciated her commitment to her faith. She was a sweet, angelic and kind woman; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Preceding JoAnn in death were her parents; her husband, Eugene; her sister, Veery Ryder; her brother, Robert Beitz; and her nephew, Robert Licence.
Surviving JoAnn is her son, Tom (Georgia) Adamczyk of Perham with their children and grandchildren, Nick (Megan) Adamczyk (Mira and William), Eddie (Brooke) Adamczyk (Austan, Dylan and Ethan) and Alison (Katie Fox) Adamczyk; her daughter, Audrey Adamczyk of Perham with her children, Jessica (Ryan) Fithen and Jenna Heidorn (fiancé Jesse Byrnes); and her daughter, Jean (Denny) Christenson of St. Francis, MN and their children and grandchildren, Matt, Jade, Madison, Riley and Sydney. Also surviving JoAnn are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
