Jeanette Huwe

Jeanette Mae (Beck) Huwe, 90, of Perham, MN went to meet her Savior on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Jeanette Mae Beck entered this world on the railroad tracks of Perham, MN on May 2, 1934. Carl and Sophie (Anderson) Beck reared her and siblings on the family farm. Bethany Lutheran Church, Spruce Grove Township was the site of her baptism and confirmation.

She graduated from Frazee High School and worked in Minneapolis for one year until she was united in marriage to Norman Melvin Huwe, July 17, 1953, at Bethany Church. They dairy farmed for 33 years in Butler Township, then moved nearby to crop farm until Norman's retirement and subsequent death 2012. Jeanette then moved to Perham, MN. Their marriage was blessed with four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Surviving Jeanette are children: Susan (Lynn) Buringrud; Larry (Nancy) Huwe; and Cindy (Andy) Appleton. Grand and great-grandchildren are Douglas Buringrud (Hailey); Nicholas (Nissel) Buringrud (William, Oliver, Alice); Lindsay (Jonathan) Varns (Abigail, Madeline, Eleora, Rebecca); Ethan (Le) Huwe (Vincent); Audrey (late Josh) Caughey (Otto); Holly Appleton, and Austin Appleton.

Jeanette was proceeded in death by her parents; sibling Leroy; siblings and their spouses Alvin, Margaret, Sarah; son Leslie Huwe; and grandson Thomas Buringrud.

Jeanette loved to play cards, embroider, garden, and serve her Lord in various church societies. Please know that if you knew her, she prayed for you.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Corliss Township. Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 on Tuesday, May 28 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
