Henrietta Schultz, age 93 of Perham, MN died Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Elkridge Assisted Living in Perham.
Henrietta Adeline Jasmer was born to Henry and Viola (Baumgartner) Jasmer on May 24, 1928 near Hewitt, MN in her grandparents’ home. As a young child, Henrietta attended Bartlett country school, District 42. After her schooling, she worked at a jewelry store and at Red Owl grocery in Wadena. Henrietta was confirmed at the Bartlett Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bartlett Township, MN, on June 14, 1942. On December 10, 1950, Henrietta was united in marriage to Melvin Schultz at the Bartlett Immanuel Lutheran Church. Melvin and Henrietta made their home in Pine Lake Township where together they raised their family and farmed. Melvin died February 9, 2002.
Henrietta enjoyed crocheting and quilting, playing cards, taking trips with friends, fishing, and gardening. She had a strong faith and was active in her church.
Surviving Henrietta are her children Galen (Diane) Schultz of Perham, MN and Eileen (Jerry) Bernstrom of Lancaster, MN; her grandchildren Chris (Kristi) Schultz of Esko, MN, Tracy (Jeff) Brown of New York Mills, MN, Charlie (Mallory) Bernstrom of Lancaster, MN, and Evan (Savannah) Bernstrom of Lancaster, MN; her great-grandchildren Katie, Ashley, Avalee, Bryce, Axel, Ruth, Briar, and Blake; her siblings Melvin (Ruby) Jasmer, Gordy (Sharon) Jasmer, and Elaine Walther; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding Henrietta in death were her parents; her husband Melvin; nephew Jeff Walther; niece Val Jasmer; brothers-in-law Howard Walther and Edwin Schultz; and sister-in-law Ceil Schultz.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Perham. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
