Frances Ann Berry was born December 7, 1921. She grew up and attended
school in the Richville and Perham area. On November 3, 1940, she married
Wendell Elofson. They raised their family and opened their home to many
nieces and nephews on a farm near Richville. They retired from the farm in
1969 and moved to Boedigheimer Lake, rural Richville. Frances worked at Service
Foods in Perham until Wendell died in 1981. She married Ernest Halverson of
Northfield in 1983. They enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona.
Frances was famous for her apple pie and crocheting afghans & slippers. For
the past two years Ernest has required professional nursing home care
services, and consequently, Frances has lived with her children. Her
great-grandchildren brought her much joy, even on her death bed.
