Fairlee Johanna Austin, age 80, of Perham, MN, died Saturday, December 27, 2003, at the Perham Memorial Hospital. Burial will be held at a later date in the Richville Village Cemetery, Richville, MN. No services are planned at this time.
Fairlee was born December 7, 1923, in Barney, ND, the daughter of Burl and Charlotte (Cameron) Adams. She moved to the Richville area with her family and graduated from Perham High School. On July 21, 1942, Fairlee married Harry Austin in Detroit Lakes, MN. She resided in Rush Lake Township, south of Perham and in 1999, she moved into Perham.
Surviving Fairlee are two daughters, Karen (Donald) Wierima, of Verndale, MN, and Cindy (Thomas) Riewer, of Perham, MN; one son, Lyle (Julie) Austin, of Woodbridge, VA; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding Fairlee in death is her husband, Harry, in 1996; her parents; one son, Lloyd, on July 19,1993 and her five brothers and three sisters.
