Emilie Glander

Emilie Glander, age 74 of Perham, MN died Friday, April 18, 2025 in her home. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 on Thursday, April 24 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Frazee, MN.

Emilie Margaret Koski was born March 6, 1951 in Detroit Lakes, MN the daughter of Eino and Rose (Pesola) Koski. After graduating from Perham High School, Emilie worked at the nursing home in Perham and on December 28, 1970, she was united in marriage to John R. Glander. She then went to nursing school in Fergus Falls. Emilie worked as a registered nurse at Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes for over 33 years.

John and Emilie went on numerous camping trips throughout the years. Emilie also enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning, cooking and going out to eat, watching the deer, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. For her relatives, she made prom and wedding dresses and also knitted mittens and booties.

Emilie will be missed greatly by her husband John; her siblings Elaine (John) Wokasch, Ellen Weiland, and Arnie (Susan) Koski; along with numerous nieces, nephews, Glander in-laws, and other family members and friends.

Preceding Emilie in death were her parents; her brother Ed Pesola; sister Elsie Wesala; niece Kathy Wesala; and nephews Mike Wesala and Tim Wokasch.
