Eleanor Winter

December 1, 1928 — May 23, 2014

Eleanor M. Winter, age 85, of Perham, MN died on Friday May 23, 2014 at The Thomas House, Perham MN. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Matthew Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Eleanor was born December 1, 1928, in Perham MN, the daughter of Anton and Martha (Rosenthal) Palubicki. After graduation from high school, Eleanor moved to Chicago and work for Stouffers. It was in Chicago that Eleanor met with a former classmate from Perham, Elmer Winter. They were united in marriage on May 30th, 1956. They would live in numerous locations within the states while Elmer served both on base and overseas during his career in the Navy.

Eleanor is survived by her four remaining children, Yvonne (Marcel) Lepage of Fargo, ND: Mark (Dawn) Winter of Perham, MN; Greg (Colleen) Winter of Braham, MN: and Jean (Brad) Satter of Dent, MN: grandchildren, Julia and Don Hoffert of Wyndmere, ND: Brady and Sara Winter of Detroit Lakes; Kari and Justin Flatau of Fergus Falls, MN; Randee and Cris Barstad of Fort Meade MD; Kayla (fiancé Brandon Cook) Satter of Wahpeton ND, Scott Lepage of Fargo ND; Jaimie Winter of Braham MN, Jenna Winter of Braham MN; Erin Winter of Perham, MN; great-grandchildren, Eden and Elliot Hoffert, Annabella Barstad, and Reed Winter; and one sister, Theresa (Richard) Omacht of Perham MN.

Preceding Eleanor in death were her husband Elmer, her oldest son Michael and her sister Deloris.

Memorials preferred to the Lakeland Hospice of Fergus Falls, MN.
