Douglas C. Rudolph, age 79 of Perham, MN died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Perham Living. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 15 beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Carl Noble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Douglas was born on May 18, 1934 in Frazee, MN to Lawrence and Mabel (Nielsen) Rudolph. He moved with his family to Grand Rapids, MN at age 17 and graduated high school from Grand Rapids. He worked for Northwestern Bell for many years and retired. Douglas then started his own company, DCR Enterprise and retired again after 12 years. He moved to Perham in 2000. He married Gladys Senske on January 11, 2003 in Perham, MN.
Douglas was very involved in his church, Kiawanis, Telephone Pioneers, and Habitat for Humanity and sang for the Blanding Paper Mill Company Choir.
Surviving Douglas is his wife, Gladys; his daughters, Cindy (Mark) Lavalier and Kim (Walt) Hoffman; step-daughter, Barbara (Tim) Heier; grandchildren, Tia (Nick) Pace and Caitlin and Logan Lavalier; step-granddaughter, Kayla Heier; and great-grandchildren, Rylee and Cody Pace; his sisters, Anetta Diedrich and Merrily (Ralph) Carlson; and his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Douglas in death are his parents; and his sister, Susan.
