Doulas Ray Hatten, age 69 of Perham, MN died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Perham Health. A private family memorial service will be held.

Doug was born on May 6, 1944 in Spokane, WA to Maurice and Etta (Ryan) Hatten. Doug graduated from Hallock, MN High School in 1964. He went on to attend Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and Wilton Culinary Arts in Chicago. After school, Doug owned bakeries in Devils Lake, ND and Grand Forks, ND, he managed the bakery at a Sam's Club and for the last 11 years owned and operated D&V's Bakery in Perham, MN.

Doug loved NASCAR racing, the outdoors, cooking, lakes and boating, and Sioux Hockey but his greatest joy was taking care of people.

Preceding Doug in death are his parents and his brother Richard.

Surviving Doug is he wife Vickie; his children: Kirk (Tammy), Kelly (Joanna), Kris, Daniel, and Brenda (Varian); grandchildren: Brandon, Jace, Morgan, Shaeli, Dalton, Tykota, Adana, Jaylon, Brayden, and Soraya; and siblings: Richard, Ed (Nancy), Steve (Jan), and Maureen.
