Donna Scheidecker

Donna Scheidecker, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019 at Perham Living with her two children at her side.

Donna Elizabeth (Paschke) Scheidecker was born on January 12, 1936 at home in Richville, MN to parents Otto and Mathilda (Berry) Paschke. After being given 24 hours to live, she was blessed by God with 83 years of life and never let her physical disabilities stop her from doing things she loved.

Donna graduated from Perham High School in 1954 and went on to one year of accounting school before being offered a job at Pine Lakes Hatchery which later became Tuffy’s Pet Foods. She worked her entire career at Tuffy’s before retiring in the early 90s.

Donna was united in marriage to Raymond Scheidecker on May 20, 1967 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham. They had two children, Kevin in 1968 and Kelli in 1970. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making hardanger doilies and other crafts, reading, swimming at the PACC, and talking with people she loved. Donna was a sweet woman of faith who was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Surviving Donna are her children Kevin (Kristina) Scheidecker of Perham and Kelli (Dan) Bjelland of Sartell; grandchildren Christopher (Hannah), Etta, Mattie, Isaac, Otto, and Elsie Scheidecker, and Emily and Jacob Bjelland; great-granddaughter Blake; sister Agnes Wargacki of Tacoma, WA; along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceding Donna in death was her husband of 46 years Raymond; siblings Frances Elofson and Arnold Paschke; and parents Otto and Mathilda Paschke.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:00 on Sunday, December 22 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 on Monday, December 23 at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
