Diane Birchem

Diane Kay Birchem, age 45, of Perham, MN, died unexpectedly, Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Perham Memorial Hospital, Perham, MN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006, beginning at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 4, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm and a prayer service at 7:00 pm and also one hour prior to services at the church.

Diane was born November 3, 1961, in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of John and Angela (Piechowski) Birchem. Diane was a 1980 graduate of Johnson High School in St. Paul, MN. She previously worked at K-Mart in St. Paul and in 1996 moved to Perham, MN, where she was employed at Barrel O' Fun, Lakes CafAC., and RD Offutt Company. She enjoyed spending time with her son, fishing, watching old time movies, reading poetry, and gardening with her sweetheart.

Diane is survived by her son, Adam, Perham, MN; mother, Angela Birchem, Perham, MN; sisters, Rose Robbins, St. Paul, MN; Marceil (Jim) Bucholz, Perham, MN; and Pat (Everett) Wegscheid, Perham, MN; brothers, Vince (Carole) Birchem, Stillwater, MN; Edward (Robin) Birchem, Oakdale, MN; and Dennis (Teri) Birchem, Blaine, MN; and her sweetheart, Dennis Tolkinen, New York Mills, MN.

Diane is preceded in death by her father, John Birchem.
