Denise McFadzen

Denise Renee McFadzen, 42, of Perham, MN died tragically in her home on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at around 5:00 a.m. Denise was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 9, 1976, to James H. Sr. and Ann M. (Huntley) Lange. She was baptized at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Denise attended school in Minneapolis, Sebeka, Fergus Falls and Wadena, MN.

Denise married Mark C. McFadzen on August 2, 1997 at Sunnybrook Park in Wadena, MN. Denise and Mark were blessed with four children: Dillon, Dalton, Nicole and Zachary McFadzen and two stepsons that she loved as her own, Timothy and Travis McFadzen. Denise’s most recent joy was becoming a grandmother to her daughter Nicole’s baby boy, Robert Liam Hicks, born December 10, 2017.

Denise was a stay at home mother, but worked several odd jobs over the years to help the family out and to stay connected with the community.

Denise loved her children and family very much. She was a strong, caring and giving person who made the best out of life. Denise enjoyed fishing, animals, the outdoors and being with family and friends. Denise had a way of making everyone feel welcome and like part of the family.

Denise is survived in death by her husband Mark; her children Timothy 30, Travis 29, Dillon 22, Nicole 19 (Robert Hicks) and Zachary 17; her grandson Robert; her parents; her brothers William Joseph “Joe” (Jody) Lange and James H. Lange Jr.; her sister Dorothy (Kory) Greiner; her grandmother Jean Huntley; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma Lange; her grandpa Huntley; along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

Denise was tragically joined in death by her son Dalton, age 21, on April 17, 2018.

Denise will be greatly missed by all her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at New Creation Lutheran Church in Perham.
