Delores Minten, age 85, of Perham MN, passed away Sunday November 14, 2021, at the Thomas House in Perham. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Perham, MN with Father Tom Skaja officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 21 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service, Perham, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Rosary will be at 6:30 and parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at the Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery, Butler, MN following the funeral and lunch.
Delores was born on March 29, 1936 in Perham, to Frank and Veronica (Stodolka) Steinbach. She graduated from Perham High School and married Joseph Minten on October 23, 1958 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. They farmed in Butler until 1993 when they retired and moved to Perham.
Delores enjoyed staying busy taking care of her family, helping on the farm, or spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of Christian Mothers at Holy Cross Church in Butler for many years. After moving from the farm, she volunteered at both the Perham Nursing Home and chapel. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially with her grandchildren. She always had the coffee pot and cookies ready for anyone who stopped by. Delores was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and dancing with Joe in her younger days.
Delores will be dearly missed by her six children: Rose (Shawn) Loken of New Richland, MN, Mary (Bob) Adkinson of Champlin, MN, John (Maria) Minten of Brainerd, MN, Tom (Pam) Minten of Battle Lake, MN, Mike (Jennifer) Minten of Perham, and Angela Minten of Perham. She will be missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ryan (Camryn Lucksinger) Minten, Kashton, Kaizlee; Cole Adkinson, Augustus, Gideon; Kaleb (Angela) Minten, Noah Minten, Rylee Minten, Lauren Minten, William Minten, Jimmy Minten, Grace Minten, Benny Minten, Macey Minten, and Lucey Minten.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph Minten; and her sisters and brothers. She is survived by sisters-in-law Mary Weis and Lucille Altringer.
