Delmer Thompson

Delmer Lee Thompson, age 91 of Ottertail, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 27, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

Del was born in Fulton, SD on November 2, 1931, where he spent most of his early years before moving to Minnesota.

Del had a fun and interesting time on a hobby farm before moving to the lake near Ottertail. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing cards, and spending winters in warmer climates.

Surviving Del is his wife Kathy; his nine children from a blended family, Vickie (Max) Heese, Michael (Cathie) Thompson, Rose (Roger) Krawiecki, Becky (Bernie) Smith, Darcie Ford Jensen (Nick), Jana (Warren) Scherer, James (Michele) Tigue, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Tigue, and Troy (Joleen) Thompson; 30 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and his brother Harold (Judy) Thompson.

Preceding Del in death were his parents; infant son Leslie; grandson Richard; his brother Floyd; his sister Alice; and former wife Rachel Grass.

Visitation will be 11:00-12:00 followed by the memorial service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham.
