Daniel Gleesing

Daniel Lyle Gleesing, age 56, of Henning , MN , passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 , at MeritCare Hospital , Fargo , ND .


Dan was born March 24, 1953 , at Falls Memorial Hospital to Lyle and Darlene Gleesing in International Falls , MN . He attended Greenway School District in Coleraine , MN , and graduated in 1971. He first attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids , MN , and then attended St. Cloud State University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dan had a great passion for audio/visual productions; accomplishing much in that field. Later, he had his own sound studio built into his home, making it a much more convenient place to put his time and heart into his work and projects. His home was very important to him as it was next to the former home of his grandparents where he had spent much time as a child. He resided on the eastern shore of West Battle Lake in MN.



Dan was also a very talented artist. Whether he was wielding a paint brush or any number of musical instruments, it seemed everything he created was magical. He will be remembered by friends and family as having an amazing sense of humor, being deeply emotional, and loving with great strength. His voice will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.



Dan is survived by his two daughters, Danielle Kendrick and Heidi Kuklok; parents, Lyle Gleesing and Darlene Gleesing; granddaughters, Elizabeth Kendrick and Katelyn Kendrick; sister, Sharon Nordrum; significant other, Deborah Porkkonen; nephew, Anthony Love; aunts and uncles, Rolly Tyson, Laura Tyson, Rick Tyson, and Margaret Tyson.
