Connie Hansen

Connie A. (Vogland) Hansen passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Perham Living at the age of 80.

Connie was born January 7, 1941 to Pat and Alta (Lauve) Vogland. She was raised in Belview, MN. She attended and graduated from Belview High School. On April 23, 1960, she married Les Hansen, from Woodlake, MN. In their 61 years of marriage, they raised three children: Paul, Pat, and Kari.

Connie and Les lived in Rhode Island after they got married, while Les was in the military. After that, they moved to Brooklyn Park, MN and then moved to Becker, MN which is where they raised their children. Once retired, they moved to their cabin near Perham, MN on Rush Lake, where Les still resides today.

Connie was a homemaker and took pride in taking care of her family. She was involved in church activities such as choir and Ladies Aid. She had many hobbies that kept her busy: painting, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She loved to sing and listen to music. Polka was her favorite. She enjoyed watching Polka Spotlight, which is a local MN polka tv program.

Connie’s family sincerely thanks the wonderful staff, doctors, and nurses at Perham Living, Timbergrove wing. They took great care of her the last year of her life, while she was a resident there. They were also very supportive of both she and her family in Connie’s final days.

Surviving Connie is her husband Les; three children Paul (Pam) Hansen, Pat (Laurie) Hansen, and Kari (John) Murawski; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four siblings; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham.
