Christopher Lee Koplin, age 42, went to be with his Lord on August 31, 2021.
Chris was born on May 15, 1979 in Perham, MN. He attended St. Henry’s Area School and graduated from Perham High School. After high school, he attended Wadena Technical College for computer programming. Chris was employed at Lake Shirts in Detroit Lakes, a job which he loved.
While in high school, Chris enjoyed choir. He was especially fond of Mr. Kosiak, the choir teacher. He loved all things from Marvel. Captain America was his favorite. He was a big fan of Superman, especially the Christopher Reeves Superman movies. As an avid gamer, he was involved in a Dungeons & Dragons group that met once a month at his house. Chris crafted many materials for the game. Family was very important to Chris. Sundays were always spent at his parent’s house and ended with a family meal together.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reinie and Vi Bormann, Gus and Karen Koplin and Aunt Jeanne Bormann. Chris is survived by his parents, Gary and Joan (Bormann) Koplin; sister, Jamie Koplin (Jeremy); his beloved dog, Gracie; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 4 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Perham.
