Cecilia Nundahl

Cecilia Margaret (Jaroszewski) Nundahl, age 77, of Perham, MN, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at MeritCare, Fargo, ND, due to heart complications.


Cecilia was born May 11, 1932 , in Dead Lake Township near Dent, MN, the daughter of Nick and Mary Ann (Belka) Jaroszewski. She attended rural country school in Dent and graduated from Perham High School in 1950. Ceil married Vernon “Bud” L. Nundahl on June 24, 1950 , at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dent, MN.



Ceil had great love for her faith, family, and many dear friends. She was, for over 50 years, a member of Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, Catholic Aid, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Henry’s Church Choir, served funeral lunches, in a prayer group, and a volunteer at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home’s Gift Shop. Ceil was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having her family all together; especially at Thanksgiving. She loved to entertain and visit with friends. Ceil loved playing bridge, knitting, canning, golfing, traveling, wintering in Las Vegas for years, square dancing, reading, and working in her beautiful flower gardens. Ceil worked for several years at Richter’s Mens Wear and Nadine’s, both in Perham. She was currently employed with Nadine’s until the week before her hospitalization and death. Ceil touched the hearts of everyone she met.



Ceil is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vernon “Bud” Nundahl, Perham, MN; two daughters, Cindy (Brian) Busch, Burnsville, MN; and Debbie (Tom) Moll, Sherrills Ford, NC; four sons, Randy (Fern) Nundahl, Perham, MN; Scott (Susie) Nundahl, Aldrich, MN; Joe Nundahl, Verndale, MN; and Darby (Cally) Nundahl, Frazee, MN; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Caroline (Charlie) Harr, Columbia, MO; and Bernice Boedigheimer, Perham, MN; and a brother, Joe (Marion) Jaroszewski, Perham, MN.



Preceding Ceil in death are her parents and a sister, Eleanor Silbernagel.
