Catherine Louise Doll, age 88, of Perham, MN, died March 21, 2005, at the Perham Memorial Hospital, peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham, Thursday, March 24, 2005, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend David Rieder and Reverend Kevin Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham, is between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2005, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Catherine was born November 13, 1916, in Perham, to John and Anna (Lachowitzer) Schornack, where she was raised and attended St. Henry's Catholic School. On September 15, 1936, Catherine married Alois Doll, in Perham, and together they farmed in the Rush Lake area, rural Perham, for 23 years. In 1959, they moved from the farm to town where Catherine worked at Tillman?s Produce for 13 years, and at Huebsch Turkey Farm for 5 years, retiring in 1980. Catherine and Alois raised a family of 3 sons and 1 daughter. Alois passed away September 19, 1980. Catherine was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Christian Mother's and Holy Family Catholic Aid. She enjoyed bingo, word search puzzles, her family and reminiscing.
Surviving Catherine are her children, John (Marcene) Doll, William (Cindy) Doll, Linda (Ron) Bjelland and Gary (Cathy) Doll, all of Perham, MN; eight grandchildren, Doreen (Dan) Winkels, Avon, MN, Christine (Mike) Gebeke, Rapid City, SD, Jeff (Nancy) Doll, Fergus Falls, MN, Jason (Dawn) Doll, Crystal, MN, Joel (Michelle) Doll, Sioux Falls, SD, Candice Doll, Perham, MN and Darren Doll and Brandon Doll, both of Moorhead, MN; four step-grandchildren, Sarah Cox, Hurley, WI, Shaun Cox, Ironwood, MI, and Ashley and Alyssa Bell, Perham, MN; eight great-grandchildren, David and Amanda Turek, St. Louis Park, MN, Austin, Brady and Connor Winkels, Avon, MN , Rachel and Nathan Doll, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jeremiah Doll, Fergus Falls, MN; three step-great-grandchildren, Noah and Arycka Clark, Hurley, WI and Anthony Cox, Ironwood, MI; one brother, Joe Schornack, New York Mills, MN; three sisters, Marcella Sczygiel, New York Mills, MN, Theresa Doll and Ann Seifert, both of Perham MN, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding Catherine in death are her parents; her husband, Alois; grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Doll and three sisters, Elizabeth Doll, Cecilia Sczygiel and Alvina Kunza.
